The website stars.co.uk is operated by Revent GmbH, a Swiss company with its registered office at Moosstrasse 2, 6003 Lucerne (Switzerland), UID number CHE-240.732.435 (hereinafter "Stars.co.uk"). Contact: info@stars.co.uk.
Scope
These Terms govern the sale of personalised star maps and related products offered through stars.co.uk to customers with delivery in the United Kingdom. By placing an order, the customer confirms they have legal capacity to contract and fully accepts these Terms.
Personalised nature of the product
All Stars.co.uk products are made to order according to the customer's specifications (date, time, coordinates, text). This has two important consequences the customer accepts when placing an order:
- Once the order enters production, it can't be cancelled or changed.
- The usual 14-day cancellation right does not apply, as the goods are made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (regulation 28(1)(b) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013).
This limitation in no way affects the customer's rights in the event of a faulty, damaged or non-conforming product.
Digital products
The digital file is supplied immediately after purchase. Because the customer asks for immediate access when ordering, the 14-day cancellation right does not apply once the download is available (regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). If the file is faulty or can't be opened, Stars.co.uk will supply a new one or refund it.
Ordering process and formation of the contract
The sales contract is formed when Stars.co.uk confirms the order by email. The customer is responsible for checking the accuracy of the personalisation details (dates, coordinates, text) before confirming the purchase.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is free across the UK. We accept credit and debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Shop Pay, Klarna and the other payment methods available at checkout.
Production and delivery
The estimated delivery time is 3–7 working days from order confirmation, including production and delivery. Exact times may vary by product and destination. See our Shipping Policy for details.
Damaged or faulty products
If the product arrives damaged or has a printing or manufacturing defect, the customer must contact info@stars.co.uk within 30 days of delivery, attaching photos and a description of the problem. Stars.co.uk will offer a replacement or a full refund, as appropriate. The customer's statutory rights, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, remain fully protected.
Intellectual property
All website content (text, images, designs, logos) is the property of Revent GmbH or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. Reproduction without authorisation is prohibited.
Liability
Stars.co.uk is liable for foreseeable damage directly resulting from a breach of its contractual obligations. Liability for indirect damage or loss of profit is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Applicable law and disputes
As Revent GmbH is a Swiss company selling to consumers in the United Kingdom, contracts are governed — as far as the consumer's mandatory rights are concerned — by the law of the consumer's country of habitual residence. UK consumers may also refer disputes to a certified alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider. Contact us first at info@stars.co.uk and we'll do our best to find a fair solution.
Changes
Stars.co.uk may update these Terms. The version applicable to each order is the one in force at the time of its confirmation.
